There is a knowing that stirs within you

You hold things together. You anticipate what's needed before anyone asks.

You've become so skilled at managing your own life that you've forgotten what it feels like to simply be inside it.

Underneath the competence, a something quieter has been waiting.

A pull back toward yourself. Toward something ancient, untamed, and true.

This is the Call to Descent.

Three women, three thresholds

This journey walks with three women whose stories have carried the shape of descent for as long as women have told stories at all.

Persephone, who didn't choose her fall. The ground opened beneath her, and she was taken before she was ready. Some descents happen to us.

Inanna, who walked toward hers. Gate by gate, she laid down her crown, her robes, the symbols of everything she'd built, until she stood with nothing left to prove.

The Selkie, who forgot hers slowly. One accommodation at a time, until the sea she was born from became a story she could barely remember.

How it works

Seven daily invitations

A short audio or video each day, delivered to your inbox, to sit with at your own pace.

A community to hold you.

A WhatsApp group where you're witnessed as you journey, not alone with what surfaces.

A gentle initiation.

A first threshold into the deeper work of Sacred Descent, should you want to continue.

"It helped me recognise that what felt like unraveling was actually an initiation, a descent into deeper knowing. It gave language to what I couldn't name, and strength to keep trusting the unfurling within myself."

— Lynne Sutherland

The Seven-Day Descent:

The Call

to Descent

We open with the Selkie's story in full, and begin witnessing your own thresholds: the moments that quietly called you into something deeper.

Meeting

the Threshold

Inanna at the gate, Persephone in the meadow, the Selkie at the shoreline. Three faces of the same edge, and yours.

Unveiling

the Shadow

We gently witness what each of the three stripped away, and where those same layers still live in your own body.

Waters of

Grief & Grace

Grief as a gateway rather than an obstacle. We let what's been held steady finally move.

Sitting in

the Void

The space after the surrender and before the return. Presence, not passivity.

The Sacred Remembrance

Persephone crowned, Inanna risen, the Selkie's skin reclaimed. Three returns, and the beginning of yours.

The Path

of Return

You walk forward with this anchored in your body. Changed, and more rooted than before.

"The storytelling and Charli's use of words spoke to me as if written specifically for me.
I found the meditations incredibly powerful. I feel more connected with myself,
and I've gained a real sense of personal strength and balance."

— Sally Coombs

Why I created this

I've walked all three of these descents myself, not as metaphor, but as my own life.

At 21, I lost my brother. I had to identify his body. There was no time to break, because my father needed me, so I carried on. That was my Persephone moment, the rupture I didn't choose and couldn't prepare for.

Years later, I chose my own descent. I sold my house and my business, and walked away from a life that looked successful from the outside and had quietly hollowed me out from within. That was Inanna's gate, laying down everything I'd built to see who was left underneath.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I became the Selkie too, the woman who gave herself away one accommodation at a time until she barely recognised her own reflection. I found my way back walking the Norfolk coastline, with nothing left to prove and nowhere left to perform. Call to Descent is the doorway I wish someone had handed me then.

This is for you if:

You're the one others lean on, and you can't remember the last time someone held something for you.

You've done the reading, the therapy, the podcasts, and you still find yourself managing instead of feeling.

Something in you has been circling a decision, quietly, for longer than you'd like to admit.

You're ready to feel something move, not just understand it intellectually.

Questions before you begin

Do I need to already believe in myth or ritual for this to land?

No. Persephone, Inanna and the Selkie are containers, not requirements. What matters is your own experience, and the myths simply give it shape.

 Is this live or self-paced?

Self-paced. Each daily invitation lands in your inbox, and you keep lifetime access, so you can move through it in your own time.

 What if I fall behind?

There's no keeping up here. Come back to a day whenever you're ready. It will still be waiting.

Is this only for women already deep in this kind of work?

Not at all. Some women arrive here after years of inner work. Others arrive with nothing but a feeling they can't quite name. Both are welcome.

One honest note: this isn't light listening. Some days will ask something real of you, grief, stillness, the parts of yourself you've kept moving too fast to feel. Go gently, and give yourself the space each day deserves.

BEYOND THESE SEVEN DAYS

For some women, seven days will be enough for now.
For others, this becomes the first threshold of something longer.
When you're ready to go further, Sacred Descent is where that deeper work continues.

If you're still here, some part of you already knows.
You don't have to keep carrying this alone, and you don't have to have it figured out before you begin.
You just need the next right step.

A doorway, not a destination.

When you feel ready to continue, Sacred Descent is where the deeper journey unfolds.

A longer, more immersive experience into the feminine psyche, the body, and the stories you have carried for years.

The first seven days are the doorway.
Sacred Descent is the journey beyond it.

Step into the deeper journey.
